View items from the 1973 Sesquicentennial Time Capsule that was unearthed during the Monroe County Bicentennial Celebration. There were two time capsules unearthed during the celebration. Unfortunately, some of the items were unrecoverable due to water damage from a failed seal. That said, we have over 150 items recovered and viewable below. Most of the items were claimed by descendants during the Bicentennial Celebration. However, if you have yet to claim an item, we encourage you to contact us so we can return it to the rightful owner.
